I did my Bachelors from Anwar-ul-uloom college (1998), Hyderabad with Microbiology, Zoology and Chemistry as main subjects. I did My Masters in "Genetics" from the Department of Genetics, Osmania University (2000), Hyderabad, INDIA. I was awarded a Fellowship (in 1999), for pursuing Ph.D., by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) after qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET).

I did my Ph.D. working under the guidance/supervision of Dr.Arun Kumar in the Department of Molecular Reproduction Development and Genetics at Indian Institute of Science (2004), Bangalore, INDIA. Curently, I am a post-doctoral fellow (PDF) working with Dr. Meetei in the Division of Experimental Hematology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Research Foundation, Cincinnati, U.S.A.
